On Saturday 22 August 2026, the Faculty of Law of Université Général Lansana Conté de Sonfonia-Conakry (UGLC) hosted the certificate ceremony for the first edition of the Thiam & Associés – UGLC Mentoring Programme, launched as part of the firm’s 2026 Pro Bono programme.
The ceremony brought together a large delegation from Thiam & Associés, university and faculty officials, including the Rector, Professor Daniel Lamah, the Vice-Rector, Dr Momoyah Sylla, the Dean of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences, Dr Ansoumane Sacko, and the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr Abdourahmane Diallo, as well as the participating students.
Eight students selected for internships at the firm received a scarf, followed by the award of certificates to the 50 students who took part in the training sessions. The Rector and the Dean commended the work accomplished and expressed their wish to see this collaboration further strengthened.
Through this initiative, Thiam & Associés reaffirms its commitment to the training and entry into the legal profession for future Guinean legal professionals. This first edition paves the way for further initiatives under the partnership with UGLC, built on diligence, rigour and the pursuit of excellence.
