Alpha Haidara is a senior associate specializing in the legal and tax structuring of M&A, project finance and foreign direct investment transactions. He also assists with tax audits and litigation.

He has extensive experience in the natural resources and infrastructure sectors, where he advises our clients, industrial groups, banking groups and financial institutions on multi-jurisdictional transactions. Alpha is currently acting as team leader alongside global steel giant BaoSteel in the implémentation phases of the Simandou project.

Alpha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Law from the Université Général Lansana Conté de Sonfonia in Conakry, and continued his studies in Côte d’Ivoire, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Private Law and a Master’s 2 in Corporate Taxation from the Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny. He also holds an Interuniversity Diploma in OHADA Law (DIU Juriste OHADA) from the French universities of Paris Nord Sorbonne and Paris II Assas Panthéon. Before joining Thiam & Associés, he worked in an Ivorian law firm in Abidjan for five years.

He speaks French, English, Malinké, Sousou and Dioula.
