Albert Dione is a lawyer admiited to the Paris bar specialised in maritime transport law, he advises our clients on their maritime and customs transactions in Guinea and in the OHADA région.

He has also developed experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly hydroelectricity. He recently advised a Turkish energy group on a power purchase agreement in Gabon for the supply of electricity from a floating power plant. He also advised Amaria Hydraulic & Electrical Development Corporation on the financing of a project to build and operate a 300 MW hydroelectric power station in Guinea.

After graduating from university in Senegal with a Master 2 in maritime transport law and customs operations from Dakar Bourguiba University, Albert Dione continued his studies in France. He obtained a specialised Master’s degree in management science and international business law and a Doctorate in legal, tax, financial and criminal business law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.

Albert Dione worked in the Paris offices of French and Anglo-Saxon law firms before joining Thiam & Associés. He is the author of numerous articles, particularly on maritime and mining law.

He speaks French, English, Serer and Wolof.
