As an associate at Thiam & Associés, Aissatou Bah dedicates her practice to counsel and litigation matters.
She has expertise in judicial and extra-judicial proceedings. Aissatou began her career as an intern with the law firm of Almamy Traoré, before joining the law firm of Abdoul Aziz Barry in July 2014. During her practice at these firms, she was involved in a large number of multi-jurisdictional and contentious transactions dealing with the Republic of Guinea. Between November 2016 and January 2017, she was in charge of debt collection at The Mining House, a company operating in the mining sector, before joining Thiam & Associés in October 2018.
Aissatou is a member of the Guinean Bar Association and works in French and English. She is also fluent in the main Guinean dialects (Puular, Sousou and Malinke). She holds a Bachelor’s degree and completed her academic career at ISIM/UNT in Conakry.

Not having grown up in a family of lawyers, I had to use considerable diplomacy with my parents to convince them that the law is not strictly about “turning truth into lies and lies into truth” as some people perceive it. Consequently, I was able to study law and to embrace this beautiful profession of lawyer.
Today I believe I made the right choice, because beyond the stimulating technical aspects, it offers me the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with talented people, all of whom are involved in the current transformation accross the African continent.
OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE
When I was younger, I dreamed of being an international athlete and competing with Marie José Talou or Torie Bowie. This passion for sports never left me and I still enjoy jogging in the morning or on weekends.
I dream one day to build a team of young athletes to enable them to grow and compete on an international level.
I also like to travel, to discover other skies, other horizons, new encounters to discover what is happening elsewhere outside my beautiful Guinea.
